How we evaluate yoga software

BestYogaSoftware.com helps yoga studios compare software without pretending every studio needs the same system.

Our promise

We separate verified facts, third-party review signals, and editorial assessment. Our recommendations are about fit, not a universal winner.

BestYogaSoftware editorial score

The 0–10 score is our editorial assessment, not an objective marketplace rating. We publish category scores and weights so a reader can disagree with the result, inspect the evidence, and choose on their own priorities. Full comparisons also explain the evidence, studio implication, and uncertainty behind every category score; those rationales are editorial summaries, not guarantees.

Verified third-party review signals

Displayed rating, public review volume, source accessibility, and consistency of the available marketplace evidence. This is not a re-rating of customer reviews.

25%

Product capabilities

Publicly documented coverage of the scheduling, booking, membership, payment, reporting, and operational jobs a studio may need.

25%

Yoga-studio fit

How directly the available product evidence maps to yoga-studio workflows, offers, client booking, and operating model.

25%

Pricing transparency & value

Visibility of starting prices or plan mechanics and the ability to understand material cost variables. It does not claim a universal lowest cost.

15%

Implementation & support evidence

Publicly documented support routes, onboarding or implementation information, and corroborating third-party review evidence where accessible.

10%

Missing, inaccessible, or conflicting data does not get filled with estimates. It lowers confidence and can limit the relevant category score; it does not automatically mean a product is poor.

Market validation

Market validation is not an editorial score and never changes the five operating-fit dimensions. It uses comparable, directly linked review evidence: public review volume, rating consistency, and independent-source breadth where comparable data is displayed.

  • Volume bands: Broad means 1,000+ publicly displayed reviews; Established means 250–999; Developing means 75–249; Early means fewer than 75.
  • Consistency: an average of 4.3+ is described as consistently positive, 4.0–4.2 as mixed/steady, and below 4.0 as cautionary. We do not average ratings across platforms.
  • Source deduplication: Capterra, GetApp, and Software Advice are treated as one Gartner Digital Markets review network. A second listing only adds breadth when it is an independent review base with comparable public data.
  • Displayed evidence only: We show a source only when its public page displays comparable rating and review-count data at the time checked.

Affiliate relationships do not determine editorial operating-fit scores, market-validation labels, source selection, or calculations.

How products enter a guide

Yoga-studio relevance

A vendor must explicitly serve fitness, wellness, boutique studio, gym, or related client-based businesses and have a plausible yoga-studio use case.

Source quality

We use public vendor product and pricing pages, official help centres, official documentation, and accessible third-party review-platform pages. A marketplace rating is never presented as a vendor claim.

Minimum coverage

A profile needs enough primary-source evidence to describe its customer, capabilities, pricing status, booking, payments, membership handling, and named integrations. A missing fact stays unconfirmed.

Review-source policy

Review signals show only publicly displayed ratings and review counts from an accessible third-party source, with a source link and date checked. We omit sources we cannot verify and do not scrape logins or reproduce long reviews.

Pricing integrity

We label pricing as public, starting at, promotional, usage-based, or quote-led. We do not calculate total cost from incomplete pricing pages.

Freshness

Product profiles and review signals carry a last-checked date. Pricing, payment methods, integrations, and marketplace data are rechecked quarterly and before major guide updates.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment for a positive rating, score, or specific placement.
  • We do not invent prices, transaction fees, integrations, review counts, ratings, or customer outcomes.
  • We do not treat vendor marketing claims, testimonials, or review snippets as independently proven facts.
  • We do not publish an affiliate relationship until one exists and is disclosed where a link appears.
